Highflyers Jump Rope Team
The Highflyers need your help!
So far we are aware of three Highflyers' families that have been directly impacted by the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. They had to evacuate their homes, that are now under several feet of water, and in two cases walk for over a mile in chest deep water before they could reach safety. We expect the number of families impacted to grow but we have not been able to contact all of our team members yet. However, we know that they live in areas that have been flooded.
We are creating a fund raiser to support the families of our team members as they start to rebuild what has been lost. Immediately they will need cleaning supplies - bleach, gloves, trash bags, mops, rags, etc. Then they will start to recover and replace what has been lost.
You can support them by making a donation to the team and all funds will be administered by our Board of Trustees (we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization). The Board will ensure that all donations received will be allocated appropriately.
You can donate in two ways:
Congratulations to all team members that competed in the 2017 U.S. National Championship at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando FL in June 2017..
The team had a successful Championship with the majority of the jumpers achieving podium places, top 10 positions and/or personal bests.
As a particular highlight the team’s Coach D qualified for Grand Nationals for her tenth consecutive year. Grand Nationals features the top 12 jumpers from the preceding age group events. Coach D qualified for Grands in two events, 30 second Speed and Single Rope (1 minute) Speed. She delivered personal best scores and won first place becoming the U.S. Grand National Champion in both events.
We are extremely grateful to our uniform sponsor - Extreme Drilling.
